[EXCLUSIVE] iKON Freezes Hongdae Streets… An Interview with ‘SBS Hanbam’

YG's boy group iKON froze the streets of Hongdae.
On February 1, iKON had a street interview with SBS ‘Hanbam’ near Hongdae, Seoul.

They communicated with the fans at a close range while having the interview filmed on the streets.

However, since iKON is currently gaining huge popularity these days, numerous people gathered to when they heard the news that iKON is in Hongdae. The interview scene was soon crowded with hordes of people, so much people that one’ couldn’t look straight at the filming scene. iKON eventually had to stop the interview.

It is known that iKON moved indoors to continue with their interview. It was an event that showed the popularity of iKON among the public these days.

Also, iKON won 1st place on a music broadcast with the song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ on the same day, for the first time since making their comeback. iKON’s B.I displayed his joy on being placed at no. 1 and his affections for the fans by writing, “I feel so grateful that don’t even know what to say. I’m worried and hope no one got hurt from the crowd in Hongdae” on his social media.

iKON is currently on an active promotion period after releasing the legendary song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ on January 25. While ‘LOVE SCENARIO’ broke the record of ‘MY TYPE’ by being placed at no. 1 for 9 consecutive days, the song is also gaining huge popularity overseas. Furthermore, iKON is establishing their position as a top boy-group by capturing the public’s hearts through music broadcasts and variety programs. People are looking forward to what kind of stories iKON will share in SBS ‘Hanbam’, and the kind of steps iKON will take in the future.
