iKON Expands First Asian Tour Held Only 6 Months After Their Debut

iKON, a boy band who made their debut only 6 months ago, is having their first Asian Tour “iKONCERT 2016 [SHOWTIME] TOUR,” following the concert they had in Japan.

This Asian tour will be first held at “TAIPEI ARENA” in Taiwan on Apr. 22nd, and the subsequent concert at “ASIAWORLD-EXPO, ARENA” in Hong Kong on May 7th. Other cities for the tour are to be announced later.
Despite the fact that it’s been only 6 months since they made their debut, iKON has successfully held large-scale concerts both at home and abroad, demonstrating their presence and popularity. They held a concert in October 2015 – right after their debut – at Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul, where large-scale performances are frequently held in Korea. And on Jan. 30th and 31st, they held another concert at the same place and met with their fans.

They had concerts in Daegu on Feb. 27th and in Busan on March 5th. And “iKONCERT 2016 SHOWTIME TOUR IN JAPAN” attracted 146,000 fans in total from 5 cities in Japan. Their first tour in Japan, which was over on Mar. 15th, was very successful and served as an opportunity to demonstrate their popularity there.
