Will iKON”s “MY TYPE” Capture Hearts of Fans?

Some information has been revealed about iKON’s debut single. The title of the song is “MY TYPE”, and iKON’s B.I and BOBBY participated in writing the song’s lyrics.

Expectations are running high among the fans since we have only three days to go until the debut of iKON. Will iKON’s “MY TYPE” capture the hearts of the fans?
At 9 AM on September 12, YG Entertainment (YG) posted a teaser poster of iKON’s new single on its official blog. The phrase “iKON – WARM-UP SINGLE ‘MY TYPE’’ on the poster along with some information about their new single.

According to the poster, the debut single of iKON will be released at 12 AM on September 15 and is titled “MY TYPE”. The song was made by YG’s hit producer CHOICE37, KUSH. iKON’s leader B.I participated in writing the music and BOBBY, the lyrics of the song. This was to ensure that the song was true to iKON’s identity. The poster also had images of empty chairs, a loud speaker, and a skateboard, which made people wonder what would iKON’s new single be like.

It is only natural that people have high expectations and great interest in iKON’s debut single. iKON members have been YG trainees for a long time, and they have grown and gained much experience undergoing through two survival competitions. Even after the team was formed through “MIX & MATCH” in 2014, YANG HYUN SUK has been training iKON members for almost two years now to prepare them for their debut. This is the reason that so many people have high expectations for iKON’s debut.

The sheer scale of their debut is mind-blowing. They are holding a showcase at a concert hall that can hold up to 15, 000 people. The fact that all the tracks of their debut album are self-written is also unusual for a rookie. iKON has made themselves well known to the public by doing shows such as Mnet’s “WIN”, “MIX & MATCH” and “Show Me The Money 3”, meaning that they already have enough fans to fill a large concert hall. Their ability to draw audience is comparable to that of idol groups that have been around for at least several years.

iKON will be releasing their “’DEBUT HALF ALBUM WELCOME BACK” on October 1 and “DEBUT FULL ALBUM WELCOME BACK” on November 2 after releasing their new single “MY TYPE” on September 15.
