YGE’s new boy group, iKON, said, “We’re so happy to be holding a concert upon our debut.”
The ticket sale for iKON’s concert will start at 8 PM on September 16, and it is expected that the competition for the tickets will be fierce. YG posted iKON’s second poster and a spot video about the start of the ticket sale on its official blog and SNS page in the afternoon of the 16th, grabbing the fans’ attention.
According to the poster, iKON will be holding their debut concert, “SHOWTIME”, at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium at 6 PM on October 3, and the ticket sale will begin at 8 PM on September 16 exclusively on Interpark. While the first poster only had images of a basketball stand, the second poster showed iKON members in sporty casual wear.
iKON said “We’re so happy to be holding a concert upon our debut” in the spot video that was released along with the second poster. They also said, “The concert will be an opportunity to tell our stories and show our music. Please come and see us on October 3!”
iKON have prepared a present for the fans, who have waited for such a long time for their debut. It is a cheering tool that can be worn like a bracelet and is called a “KONBAND”. YG announced on its SNS page, “We’ll be giving out KONBANDs to all those who come to the concert.”
Meanwhile, iKON’s new single “MY TYPE” has been dominating the charts since its release at 12 AM on September 15. On September 16, it took the No.1 spot on the daily charts of major music sites such as Melon, Genie, Mnet, Olleh Music, Bugs Music, Naver Music, Monkey3, and Soribada – which is astonishing for a rookie. Their MV has surpassed 2 million views on Youtube in just a day after its release. The MV posted 2.4 million views as of 4 PM on September 16.
To continue the momentum of their successful debut, iKON will also be releasing their “DEBUT HALF ALBUM ‘WELCOME BACK” on October 1 and “DEBUT FULL ALBUM ‘WELCOME BACK’’ on November 2.
