[Exclusive] Revealing Their Charismatic Side, iKON is Shooting MV for Their New Single (15.09.16)

 YGE's “monster rookie” iKON is shooting the MV for their new single. It is said that the concept of their MV is totally different from their sweet new song “MY TYPE”.
A member of the MV shooting team told OSEN, “iKON is currently shooting MVs for two of their songs.”

The director of iKON’s MV is Suh Hyun Seung, a renowned MV producer. He has done a lot of work with BIGBANG producing the MVs for T.O.P’s “DOOM DADA”, TAEYANG’s “RINGA RINGA”, GD’s “COUP D’ETAT”, and BIGBANG’s “FANTASTIC BABY.”
Suh Hyun Seung is known for creating intense images using vivid colors. So, the chances are that iKON’s next new single will be a powerful hip hop song full of charisma.

iKON released their first new single “MY TYPE” at 12 AM of September 15, and the song is sweeping the charts. B.I and BOBBY participated in writing the music and lyrics of “MY TYPE”. It is a love song intended to capture the hearts of female fans with its sweet melody and lyrics.

iKON has shown their sweet side with their first new single and will show their charismatic side with the next single. Such diversity makes it hard to define iKON just as a plain idol group.

It is very rare for a rookie to top the charts in and out of Korea upon their debut. However, it was possible for iKON because they have been building their fan base even before their debut and have gained huge popularity by doing various promotional activities.

When iKON was doing the survival show “MIX & MATCH”, BOBBY said, “I hope that iKON will go beyond being just an idol group.” iKON has been training and preparing so hard for their debut. Now, hopes are high that iKON will take K-POP to the next level.

Meanwhile, iKON will be releasing their “DEBUT HALF ALBUM ‘WELCOME BACK” on October 1 and “DEBUT FULL ALBUM ‘WELCOME BACK” on November 2. Also, On October 3, they will be holding their debut concert “SHOWTIME” at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium.
