“No. 1 For 52 Days Among 80 Days” … 2018, The Year of YG’s Boy-Groups

80 days has passed since January 1, 2018, while boy-groups from YG are staying strong. BIGBANG became the 2nd group to achieve an ‘all-kill’ following iKON, becoming the center of attention.
iKON’s ‘all-kill’ and long-run no. 1 march in music charts with the song ‘LOVE SCENARIO’, released on January 25, was intense. iKON set a milestone by maintaining the song’s no. 1 spot for a total of 43 days, firmly establishing themselves as a top-class boy group.

iKON also earned the image as a strong force in music charts, which will help them with future releases. If they maintain their current momentum, they can even aim for great results in the end of the year charts of 2018.

BIGBANG followed up iKON’s no. 1 march with ‘FLOWER ROAD’, and achieved a chart ‘all-kill’ without any broadcasting activities. The song ‘FLOWER ROAD’ is maintaining its no. 1 position in 6 different charts for 9 consecutive days since the song was released in the 13th.

Although it is impossible to promote the song through broadcasting activities since 4 out of 5 members are serving military duties, ‘FLOWER ROAD’ is achieving great results due to BIGBANG’s influential image built for the past 10 years and the song’s significance, coming from the fact that it’s a single featuring all members of BIGBANG released in a year and 3 months.

For 52 days among a total of 80 days, boy-groups from YG are dominating the charts. As WINNER, who is also influential in music charts, announced their comeback date to be April 4, it is expected that boy groups from YG will continue their no. 1 march for a while.
