[Exclusive] iKON to Put on their Comeback Stage on Music Core on May 27

YG's boy group iKON will be performing their perfectly synchronized choreography for the first time on Music Core.

Sources confirmed on May 25 that iKON will perform the title tracks of their new album, “BLING BLING” and “B-DAY”, for the first time on the stage of MBC’s Show! Music Core on May 27. Fans are highly anticipating iKON’s first ever performance featuring synchronized choreography.
iKON released their new album “NEW KIDS : BEGIN” on May 22, an album that they worked so hard for as if they were preparing for their debut. iKON members sought to improve everything from their music to their performances, looks, and style as if they were on a survival show again. Members not only participated in writing the lyrics and music of the songs but also in planning the album to make up for their one-year break.

That’s why the concept of the album is “NEW KIDS”. The album marks iKON’s new beginning and new style. iKON also plans to release a series of albums throughout this year under the same concept.

iKON built strong teamwork while touring around Japan, and that teamwork is well reflected in the title songs. The lyrics of “BLING BLING” are full of swag and energy unique to the group. The song is written by B.I, BOBBY, and YG’s new songwriter MILLENIUM, and it features members’ powerful rap and a catchy melody.

The other title track “B-DAY” shows a different side of iKON. It is an upbeat hip hop song that portrays iKON’s wit and powerful energy. The part in the lyrics that compares iKON members to bees is interesting. The title has two meanings: short for “birthday” and the “birthday of bees”.

The “BLING BLING” performance features iKON’s perfectly synchronized choreography, and the ”B-DAY” performance will be focused on showing off iKON members’ carefree spirit.

Following their performance on MBC’s Music Core, iKON will put on another comeback stage on SBS’s Inkigayo.
