“Super-rookie” iKON announced exceptional debut schedule of “pre-release + step-by-step release”

Such a schedule shows how YG Entertainment is willing to support its rookie idol group iKON.

On the 8 in the morning, YG Entertainment announced the debut schedule of iKON on its official blog.

First, on the 15 this month, iKON will release “WARM-UP” single and music video. Then, on the 1 of next month, “DEBUT HALF ALBUM” with six songs will be released. Finally, on November 2, the official full-length debut album with all the 12 songs will be released.
There will be one final debut album, but three new releases will be carried out. That is an unprecedentedly support for a rookie, which is comparable to the company’s support for BIGBANG who has been doing “MADE” project this year.

Actually, iKON is not just a new idol group. The team already has a recognition comparable to that of a group in their second year of debut. iKON was presented to fans for the first time in survival audition show “WIN” aired in 2013.

WINNER won the survival audition, but the one who drew bigger expectations was the loser, iKON. Leader B.I is showing his good producing skills to the extent that he is now called the second G-DRAGON, while the other members KIM JIN HWAN, BOBBY, SONG YOON HYEONG, KOO JUN HOE, KIM DONG HYUK, and JUNG CHAN WOO have drawn big attention, too.

Even though iKON drew unprecedentedly big attention exceptionally for a rookie, the team’s debut has been delayed for the past two years, so fans have been complaining. Now, finally, iKON is coming. Fans are paying keen attention to what achievement iKON will show after their fancy debut with unprecedentedly big support from YG.
