iKON To Release Debut Song on Sep 15... Yang Hyun Suk Wants iKON to Win Rookie of the Year Award

YGE's Yang Hyun Suk, spoke with Star News on July 31 about the upcoming debut of iKON.

He commented, “iKON will be releasing their debut song on September 15 and officially step into the music industry. The group has worked hard and prepared many songs as debut song candidates.”

Yang Hyun Suk continued, “Because they know there is a lot of interest in iKON, the members put their hearts and souls into perfecting their debut song. Their debut song will definitely meet the expectations of many people.”

As for the group’s goals, he revealed, “iKON’s end-of-the-year goal is the Rookie of the Year Award. It would be great if iKON could follow in the steps of WINNER who won last year’s Rookie of the Year Award with their debut song.”

iKON’s seven members were selected through Mnet’s survival program “Mix & Match” last year. Even before their impending debut, the group enjoyed a fan meeting with around 7000 fans. Besides their popularity, members Bobby and B.I have had opportunities to show off their talents. Bobby was named the winner of rap competition show “Show Me the Money 3″ and B.I has flaunted his producing skills.
